July: Month of the New

JULY: THE MONTH OF THE NEW

THE YEAR SO FAR…

We’ve had an inspiring beginning to 2017. Our wonderful alumni are continuing to do amazing things with Publons recently being our first positive exit from Lightning Lab. We’ve had multiple alumni nominated for a Gold Awards in Wellington and more and more of our alumni are spreading their wings internationally.

We’ve completed two accelerators: Kiwibank FinTech Accelerator and the third iteration of R9 – our GovTech Accelerator. And to top it all off, we’ve got Lightning Lab Electric in Creative HQ beginning their accelerator journey. We also recently announced that founders in the South Island will be getting a leg up thanks to Callaghan Innovation and Creative HQ.

And, we have launched a new website which you are reading this post on (and if you’re not, something has gone horribly wrong and please get in touch). Changing a website with as much history and stories as Creative HQ’s website has is a complex business and so we hope that you find it a source of useful information, easy to navigate and engaging.

As part of the website redevelopment, we’ve continued the natural growth of our Startup Resource, Straight Up, and turned it into a series of downloadable booklets that you can print and keep. We’ll keep adding to these as we see questions that need to be answered. If you think you’ve got something you want us to cover, please let us know!

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT DURING JULY?

Here at Creative HQ we are constantly celebrating the new and innovative. From fledgling startups to established companies innovating their offerings to government agencies ready to change the public sector, we are involved in the “new” across a broad range of sectors.

Since the new financial year is basically a new year, we thought we would begin it by celebrating the new in the Creative HQ world and further afield. We’ll be talking alumni successes, new technologies, new ways of working and more.

QUESTIONS? COMMENTS?

If you’ve got questions about the website or have a suggestion for a topic we should cover or a news story you’d like to share, get in touch.
