CAN YOUR PROJECT HELP REDUCE CARBON EMISSION IN OUR CITY?
If you’re working on an early stage project or building a startup that will help build Wellington’s Low Carbon future then you can use the Low Carbon Challenge to get a kickstart of connections, learning and funding!
They are looking for projects in the areas of:
- Waste
- Transport
- Housing & Building
- Energy
As one of the 6 accepted teams you will receive:
- $1000 stipend.
- A series of workshops with a cohort of innovators and entrepreneurs to learn new skills and further develop your business.
- Networking events to grow your professional networks and community and connect with strategic partners.
- Public events to grow your profile and support to launch a crowdfunding campaign.
- An opportunity to connect with funders who can match-fund your public crowdfunding.
This is an 8 week, part time programme that will require 10-20 hours focus per week.
Our goal is help to you build your network, your community, your profile, your skills and take your idea or business to the next level.
The programme is supported and delivered by the good folks at Wellington City Council, Enspiral and PledgeMe.
The match fund is a unique partnership driven by Wellington City Council and a growing list of supporters including Powershop, Greater Wellington Council and BNZ. Whatever you can raise in crowdfunding will have the opportunity to be match funded.
Low Carbon Challenge will be perfect for committed founders and founding teams in the early stages of an idea or established and growing startups that are ready to grow with the help of a supportive community and strategic business to business partnerships.
